Project Information: Name: Greens Creek Mine Shift Housing Facility Project Location: Greens Creek Mine, Admiralty Island, Alaska Owner: Hecla Greens Creek Mining Company Project Manager: Chris Gilberto Scope of Work: Construct a shift housing facility for the clients in order to provide additional housing for miner's to stay at during their shifts at the mine site. To accomplish the work, piling will be driven to accommodate newly constructed modular building units; then the units will be set with NPE's crane, connecting the units as they go, then completing the installation by roofing over the units, performing all finish work on the inside and lastly constructing a series of stairs connecting this new facility to the mine's existing support facilities.

(aka DIPAC) Project Manager: Karl Vandor Scope of Work: Perform all necessary civil preparations and construct a new nearly 5,000 s.f. warehouse building complete with clerestory, exterior covered awning and second level storage inside. This project also includes provisions for future expansion of other potential facilities for the Owner. Project Timeline: October 2011 - March 2012

Location: Dyea Road Bridge #309 (Taiya River Bridge), Skagway, Alaska
Owner: State of Alaska – DOT & PF
Project Manager: Mike Sturrock
Scope of Work: Perform structural steel repairs and replacements; install new treated timbers to new structural steel; install untreated timbers over the treated timbers; install new bridge railings and bull rail all whilst allowing pedestrian traffic to continue to access the project. Shuttle services were also provided for those individuals living on the residential side of this bridge. Provisions for heated storage of emergency services vehicles were also provided.

Scope of Work: Construct an addition to the clients existing steel building in order to provide additional showers, locker rooms and locker basket storage for the miner’s work clothing. Miners and those associated with the industry commonly refer to these facilities as to the “Dry Room”, hence the name of this project being “The 920 Dry Addition”. This addition also included provisions for an expanded ambulance bay and the addition of a welding bay. Administrative offices were also added on the second floor of this addition to afford the client a more centralized communications system near the work zone for its mine manager and other vital personnel.

(The Port Customs building was completed in the spring of 2011 and construction on the Visitors Center phase is slated to begin in October 2011 and be completed in May of 2012.
